Hi Girls, For those of you who have ordered your invites already (or who are ordering them very soon), how are you wording them?
This is how we are planning on wording our invites:
Mr. & Mrs. My Parents and Mrs. Fiance's Mom request the honour of your presence as their children Me and Fiance son of the late Fiance's Dad are united in matrimony on Sunday, the fourth of June two thousand six at eleven-thirty in the morning The Estate at East Wind 5720 Route 25A Wading River, New York
Formal reception to follow
What do you girls think about this? Do you have any suggestions for improvements?

That sounds great - very tasteful. I have seen some examples for couples that wanted to include a deceased parent, and they are very similar to what yo have.
My FH and I are going with a more modern route - we are paying for almost everything ourselves so ours will be...

I think yours is beautiful.
Here's ours. We included both parents even though my mother gave us money to help pay for the wedding and his parents did not contribute any. We would have done it this way even if my mother didn't help us.

Hi! just curious to why you guys chose to only put your dad's name on it. My dad is helping us pay for the wedding and his parent's aren't but I would feel bad not putting his parents name on it, even though I think its the right thing not to include them, you know what I mean? XOXOXOXO Kitty

I ordered mine and they are quite wordy, but it is how we wanted it. We are paying for the wedding ourselves, but out of respect we mentioned both parents..

Mine is a bit wordy because both of our parents are divorced and both of our dad's are remarried and we wanted to include everyone on the invite, so here it is:
