I have seen 'adult reception' on many invitations. I don't think it's a bad idea if you think there are people invited who may just bring kids unless specifically told not to

Re: Invitation wording question
My reception card will say
Adult Only Reception Time) (location)
And I can just bet people will still take their kids. But if you can't leave the kids with a babysitter-DO NOT COME

This is what ours said, unfortunately people will still bring their kids and there isnt much you can do. I had people bring their children even after they asked my grandmother if that meant their daughter couldnt come they still brought her. Truthfully, didnt even notice it or did it bother me at all
