How did people with step-parents word their invites? Did you include the step-parent on the invite? And if so- how was it worded?

Re: Invitation wording w/. stepparent???
Not sure of your situation but on my side it's just my mom and on FH's side it his mom and then his dad and step-mom. Here's our invite:

Re: Invitation wording w/. stepparent???
We didn't include step parents. Both of DH parents are remarried so it would have been too much on the invititation.

Re: Invitation wording w/. stepparent???
My dad is remarried and my mom is engaged, DH's parents are also divorced. We went with the greatest and easiet line ever:
Together with their parents.

Re: Invitation wording w/. stepparent???
Oh, boy. This decision was, absolutely, the worst worst moment in my wedding planning process.
My parents are divorced and remarried, and my FH's parents are still married to one another. Traditionally, you are supposed to list on the invites above your names the people who are 'hosting' the event. However, all three sets, and us, are contributing, and thus technically hosting. One of my parents objected very, very strongly to the other parent's spouse being listed. But here's what it came down to. My stepparent is very involved in my life, has been for a decade, and is contributing to the wedding. It would have been so hurtful to leave the name off. And none of the parents really liked the general - 'together with our parents.' So, we listed all three, and just made our names bigger than the rest of the print. We had a big invite, but you know what? Who cares. The point is, I felt in my heart that I was respectful to all the 'parents' in my life, and honored them, and it was important to me. So, the best thing you can do is talk it over with your FH and make a decision you both like - and then everyone will (have to) fall in line. Our mistake was asking what the parents thought - and then having to pick one side over the other. Good luck!!
ETA: I have to scan my invite in, but I'll post a pic for you, if you want.

Dr. and Mrs. ____ Mr. and Mrs. ________
request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their Daughter
Debra Lynn ___
to
Kevin Michael ____

Ms. ______ Mr. _________
my parents are both remarried, and kev's parents are divorced (not remarried). We put our last names in so that people wouldn't be confused as to what our las names are (FMIL uses her maiden name).
I thought we were going to need a giantic invite, or very small font...
I wanted to do the parents of... but my mom is a snot and insisted it said 'Dr. and Mrs.' to show up my father
