invitation wording- what do you think of this?

invitation wording- what do you think of this?

this will be the start of the wording:

'As you have shared in their lives
by your friendship and love,
you are invited to share
in this joyous celebration.

Mr. and Mrs. xx request the honour of your----- '


Should I substitute 'because' for 'as' - that's how most of the sites have it but i didn't like the word 'because'.

any other suggestions?

Because sounds fine. You could also use 'since.' I don't think 'as' is grammatically correct.

I used 'because' in mine - it sounds nice
I also changed the word 'by' to 'with'
