Invitation wording YET again!

Ok here's a good invitation question.

Outer envelope:
Mr. & Mrs. John Smith

Inner evelope:
Uncle John & Aunt Mary

Can I put that? The wedding is being paid for and given by FH and I. I don't want to put John and Mary because they are my uncle and aunt.

What do you think? does it look tacky?

That is exactly what I did......
The problem I had was that my parents have a large group of friends and some of them I call by their first names, some I call Mr. and Mrs.....so when i was printing out the envelopes, i did formal Mr. & Mrs. for the outer, and then for the inner, I put whatever I called the person in real life.....I did thatfor the grandparents as well i think

me too...even my parents, the outside was Mr&Mrs, and the inside was mom & dad.

Anyone I feel really close to I'm using their first names, or the names I call them (like Uncle Bob or Aunt Evelyn). For parent's friends and people I don't know I'm using Mr & Mrs on both envelopes.

I checked the ettiquette books and they agreed, so I think you are fine.
