Anyone order samples of scroll invitations from www.indianweddingcard.com

I found some amazing invites. They are a little pricey for samples but look great on the web. All the info (ceremony time & location, reception time & location, rsvp & phone numbers) is on the scroll so there is only the one item to mail.

Please let me know if you ordered samples. I'd like to know about the quality.

Here are a few I like:

Thanks in advance.

I am guessing the metal ones are probably expensive to mail (this assumes they are real metal and not plastic with coating). The boxes invites (w/o metal) will likely be .83 cents to mail assuming the dowels are not metal (but plastic coated).

I have not ordered samples so I have no idea about the weight.

Ok, checked again and the weight of the invites ranges from 75 grams - 450 grams. I think 100 grams is 3 ounces?

ETA: 450 grams is 15.9 ounces. This would be $1.42 to mail (book rate) with delivery in about 3 days from NY to VA.

I love those. How do people rsvp? Would they have to call?

Re: invitations

Yep, call or send a note or maybe e-mail. I saw one sample with an e-mail address, home address & phone number for the rsvp.

From what I read, traditionally people would have to call to rsvp. The RSVP cards are a new development. And still some people won't send those back?!?!?

Some invites say:

'Regrets only - (555) 123-4567' so they assume everyone they invite will show unless they call.

My only concern would be the fact that it will cost almost as much to mail them as it would to buy them , but if you are not having that many guests, it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

I actually ordered samples and plan on mailing them to myself this week to see how they do in the mail, and to see how much they are. I really like them, excpet that I do not like how the RSVP does not fit in the box (IMO i think an email or phone RSVP is tacky and just opens up room for error), and i am trying to figure out where to put the hotel info, directions etc....

I saw Backinnewyork's scroll samples and they were really high quality--very impressive! I just couldn't get FH on board to do them

How is the quality? Do you have any pics of the sample?

Which sample did you order? Silk scroll or velvet?

I am curious about the weight since they all appear to use metal bars and some use metal containers plus boxes.

Those look beautiful! I'd have to agree and wonder how well the RSVP, and directional cards would work with them....but where there's a will, there's a way!

Re: invitations

A friend of mine that is getting married in April did them, the only problem is that I still did not get my invitation because the slot in my mail box is very small and the mail man did not even leave a note, she also told me that about 30 percent of her guest never got them either. The post office did return them back to she has to go and get them herself

The bars are platic, but they are not cheesy. They are actually not that heavy. I think I ordered S76 and S40? I don't remember. They were both silk. One red and one cream colored. Thw quality was awesome, and I was very impressed.
