Invitations

Do it yourself

or

leave it to the professionals????

I'm not sure about this...I found this DIY invitation that I love...I'm just nervous about what they are going to look like and if I'm going to have the time to make them....

Re: Invitations

Either option is fine but you might like the quality of the print of a professional invite better than a regular printer. JMO

I've been thinking about this quite a lot. But I think I am going to have them professionally done because I love the look of thermography and you just can't do that on your home computer.

I can't decide on this either, but if you've found a DIY that you love you should go for it.

Re: Invitations

i think it depends on how much time you can invest into doing them yourself...i would love to, but know i would lose patience, therefore i will be leaving it up to the professionals!!

Re: Invitations

I did them myself. But they were A LOT of work. I spent about 3 months (not working on it nonstop) to get them done. I'm glad I did it, but I don't think I'd ever do it again!

I would try to do them myself first, and then if I didn't like the way it came out, then let the professionals handle it.

Re: Invitations

My fsil owns her own company and she is ordering them for me at cost. Saving about 50%. I will make the programs myself though

Thanks ladies...I just haven't really seen any 'professionally' done ones that I like...and DIY are alot chepaer...I really need to think hard about this one...

It really comes down to whether you have the time or not. I don't think hand made are a bad idea at all. Saves some money. But not your sanity? Toss up!

I would leave it to the professionals. If it was another occassion I would say do it yourself but you don't want to mess with them
If you make the mistake your responsible if they do its on them and they have to do it over.

Re: Invitations

I think there are a lot of invites that probably wouldn't be all that hard as a DIY project, but it's a question of how much time you have to do it and how much frustration it's going to cause you to try it on your own. For me, we have a reasonably pricey printer but it's very tempermental, so I left it to the professionals
