Invitations

Has anyone on a budget thought about making their own invitations? Im making my own 'Save the Dates'

I made my own STDs and was thinking about making my own invitations as well. I went to Party City and they had a 40% off invites sale and everything else was 30% off so it ended up being comparable just to buy them (and a lot less stressful).

I am almost positive we'll be doing our own. Luckily, one of my best friends is a graphic designer, so she offered to help design them. I know lots of times you can search through designs you like and some brides will share their templates, so that could help you with the design. Good luck!

I was going to go to Party City the other day. DId you buy the invitation Kit? If so what exactly is in the kit?

We made our own STD's but I think we are going to get the invitations made. We made our own engagement invitations. We bought the paper from Staples. They came out really nice.

if you are considering making your invites---FM CaMacho

her and her DH made their own invites...and I swear to you, they look like they were professionally done. she even did a pocketfold...and they came out beautiful. she has a detailed instruction template she used to make them.

i don't know if her review on here has pics of the invites. but this is the link to the knot.com bio--and you can see pro pics of the invite, as well as pics she posted when she assembled them.

CaMacho's invites are gorgeous. Im going to have to go with something way simpler than that; Im neither that creative or patient.

No, I just ordered from one of the many books they have to look through. Even if you don't order from there, it doesn't hurt to go and look (they leave you alone to look in peace!)

i'm making my own invites and save the dates - i'm probably gonna make anything that can be printed (and probabaly more!). what can i say, i'm cheap. and i also have no money. =0P
