Invitations

I'm now 7 months away from my wedding when should I be ordering invitations? I'm not sure how long it takes to come in, any advice, info, places to order from is appreciated.

Mine are from Encore - Expressions of Love, I also recommend www.whiteaisle.com - I wish that I found them before I ordered my inivtes - I LOVE the fact that they have very different and unique invites. I ordered my programs from them because I couldn't resist - and they were WONDERFUL to work with.

We ordered ours in Nov'05 for our March'06 wedding. They were Carlson Craft and came in two weeks after ordering.

We ordered them from Cedarhurst Paper in Medford because their price was amazing. 175 for $392 with all the trimmings:

I ordered mine 6 months in advance from Party City and they were in the next week. They had to send them back, they made an error in them, and I had the corrected ones three days later.

They are Birchcraft and were very reasonable, they had a sale for Memorial day and they were 40% off list price (usually they are only 30%). I had just gone to look originally and ended up getting them. I got 250 for $475 and then I ordered extra envelopes from them during the addressing process. They were very quick at the turnaround on those as well (there's a flat fee for each kind of envelope, no matter how many).

I ordered in the beginning of Arpril for my End of July wedding so I guess thats a little less than 4 months but I'm a procrastinator..I think 6 months is the reccommendation..I ordered Checkerboard invitations from InvitationLane.com and she had a proof for me the next day..I went back and forth on details for a week so they were delayed a bit but once I approved the final proof the invitations were delivered in 3 or 4 days....and they were 33% below the prices I had seen in stores for the same invitation...I highly reccommend them...HTH
