Hey girls .. I really don't have a clue of what invitations will cost (approximately). Can someone share some approximate information? thanks!

Re: Invitations?
there is a huge range of costs...I would start looking online for a style you want, maybe even go to party city and look at books.

Re: Invitations?
Can anyone tell me if Jean M is considered 'reasonable' in terms of invites...?
I haven't looked anywhere else yet...but I liked their stuff.

Re: Invitations?
Thr range is huge depending on the quality, complexity and what you include.
To give you an idea or what I considered middle of the road, we paid $4 each for ours (125 invitations for $500) with good quality paper, double lined envelopes and printed return address (and the standard, response and reception cards)

Re: Invitations?
The best way to compare invite prices is to find out how much per invite. There are a bunch of threads on pricing, but two brides might have paid the same price and gotten very different things.
Most invite prices include the invite (with black ink), an unlined inner envelope and the mailing envelope.
Things you have to order that aren't included, the RSVP card and envelope.
Things that add to the cost that you don't have to have are: colored ink, lined inner envelopes, and reception cards.

I agree with the other ladies - the range is HUGE on prices. You also need to determine if it's something you want to 'spurge' on. The invites were important to me and I had a smaller wedding (I only needed 75) so I could spend more on each. Mine were $14 each.

Re: Invitations?
There are all kinds of prices. i would check online first. Then you can get an idea. I had gotten 125 invites for my engagment party and it came to about $300. But I had also gotten a discount cause I know the owner..lol

Re: Invitations?
There's as big a difference in price range for invitations as there is for a wedding dress ....
For example, you can go to David's Bridal's sale and get a dress on sale for $99 .... or you can go to a designer boutique and pay anywhere from $1,000 and up (the sky's the limit, like on Platinum Weddings)
I've seen posts on here for things from under $200 to over $2500. The less expensive invitaitons I've seen are usually simple cards .... the more expensive invitaitons are custom and layered (papers of different colors and textures glued together), some have ribbons, bows, pocketfolds, etc ...
It all depends what you want and what your budget is ....
