Where did you order your invitations from? Preferably in Nassau. If you ordered them online did they send you a sample?

Re: invitations
i used www.willowtreelane.com - they sent me samples for free, with samples of the ink, they were great to work with and very inexpensive. My order was shipped about 1 week after I ordered, and everything looks great.

Re: invitations
I used Invitations by Dawn (www.invitationsbydawn.com). They sent me free samples first so I could narrow down my decision. Once I ordered, I had the invitations in 3 days!! They were perfect. The only problem I had with them was that I had also ordered matches, and the printing didnt come out all the way. (It was a picture of a little boy and girl with our names and date, and the little boy was missing his hiney!!) Anyway, I called them, and got a call tag to return the defective matches and my new matches in 2 days!!

Re: invitations
I found gorgeous invitations - anna griffin - but they would be about $1300. (with a discount) - so now I am starting the search over again.
I am going to a place in Lindenhurst on Saturday - he said he has something very similar to what I like so I'll let you know.

Re: invitations
I'm using Favorite Things Invitations - they are a vendor here, but just so you know she is located in Smithtown. In my opinion, she's worth the trip. I am getting handmade invitations, that are one of a kind designed for me, for a competitive price.
I would also recommend Gaddisdesign. If I had not gone with Favorite Things, I definitely would have ordered from Gaddis. The website is
they are beautiful and handmade...she will respond to your email very quickly...it was like dealing with someone next door...
she is in the mid to upper price range though...

Re: invitations
You can also probably order invitations through your reception hall. That's what I did. It was very simple and all of the invitations were discounted 20%.
