where is good to go for invitations? somewhere near-ish to Huntington, maybe? or Massapequa? I'm in Massapequa, mom is in Huntington...

help please! We went today to Lion in the Sun and another place in Huntington Village, and I found so little that I liked... there was one that I LOVED, but it was really expensive...

I was at Lion in the Sun in Huntington today too!

We found a few we liked but they would cost us over $1,500 and we only need 125! I really need to find someone with a letterpress in their basement haha :)

We went to Papyrus in the mall too they didn't have anything that we didn't already see at Lion.

That's so funny! When were you there? We went in about about 3pm... there were a bunch of other people there. It would be so funny if one of them was you!

Re: invitations

If you want letterpress I'd search online--vendors who only have online 'shops' generally are cheaper because they don't have the shop overhead. Only thing is you can't see the invites until you order a sample. But, that's what I did, and I'm very happy with my sample. You also might find more interesting designs, from newer, smaller companies.

For example, I think these are amazing:

I'm getting mine--not letterpressed, I'm cheap--from White Aisle. But they also have letterpress, and I've had a great relationship with Rebecca so far!

Good luck!

Re: invitations

we got our letterpress invitations from marsville.com (a canadian company). We found them to be MUCH more reasonably priced than most other companies, and had amazing work.

Prices are on their website....

Re: invitations

i went to the place in massapequa on merrick rd.. and for the EXACT EXACT EXACT same invites that i paid $186 at the wedding galleria in farmingdale.. they were charging me $482.. just a heads up.. they were charging me for EVERYTHING.. if i had more than a certain amount of letters on a line.. and if I wanted liners they were charging me $1.50 PER envelope.. where wedding galleria charged me $14.50 for 100 liners.
