We're making our budget and I'm beginning to twitch. Is $400-$500 a reasonable amount to budget for invitations?

Yes, I think so. Many places have beautiful invites for that amount. you probably won't be able to find pocketfolds for that amount but you can definetly find some really nice regular invites

Re: invitations

Invitations from what I heard are usually between $400 to $600 for invitations that aren't over the top...I think thats a fair estimate

I found my pocketfolds on now-and-forever.com. They come out to a little over 350 for 100 invites and RSVPs...That site even lets you order samples for free.

My budget is $400 with postage and I'm sticking to it. We went over budget on so many things that I really want to try and scale the invites down. I would love to have the really really nice ones, but i keep telling myself that people are going to just toss them the garbage after. IDK- I would just rather put money into other things.

They had some really nice ones on:
www.exclusivelyweddings.com

I have a catalog code for 15% off an order of $120 or more if anyone wants to order from them. Its good through 1/31/08 and it is

Hmmm....I would think so, depends what exactly you like. I think pocketfolds and those type are typically more expensive.

Re: invitations

I am spending $200 on pocket fold invites + more. Mix of purchased pocket folds all ready made and DYI. I am printing on press though at work for free (perks for working at a print shop but you can do it on a good ink jet at home) recept/ceremony card, response card, both envelopes w/ return addi and reply addi, seating cards, menu, table no., sign in cards and programs.

I don't think its that much though to spend $200-$250 on printed (raised especially) on invitations with reply and envelopes though for like 100 people. That is typically what we see purchased at our store when people go through catalogs.

Re: invitations

not necessarily your taste, more so your budget

Re: invitations

if your going letterpress with hand pressed papers with all the bells and whistles yea i can't get the price upwards to $500-$1k but it really is that important to you then that is cool. As a graphic artist i thought my invites and paper goods were COMPLETELY important to represent me as an artist. Then I realize calm down, do something you think really looks good, is you and fh not just myself, and goes with in our budget.
