So I fell in LOVE with an invitation....problem is it's $48 PER INVITE!!!
FH wants to kill me about this!

Wow what does the invite look like for $48 per invite? Haven't even thought about invites yet, but definitely going to try to keep it on the reasonable side...

My stationary budget is $800 and that includes programs and menus - def not $48 an invite - looks around you might be able to find a less expensive alternative

WOOWWWWWWW that is a lot of money for something people will throw away. I'm hoping $300.00 for everything
I want pretty invites for the least amount of money. $48 is 2 much, people don't keep them anyway. I'm sure they look beautiful but if you want to spend that much on your guest spend it on nicer favors. JMO.

I plan to spend about $4.25 per invite on my custom pocketfolds from Pippy's Sweets Luckily, I'm having a small wedding and won't need a ton of invites

What makes that invite really unique is the pocket. Do you think you can recreate it?

I don't know......I emailed a couple of LIW vendors and so far only one person has made anything that even comes close (some stuff people mailed me looked nothing like the one I sent) and those would still be around $20 PER invite!

There beautiful but I don't know how to rationalize the price. Unless you have an incredible budget then I would go for it. I can't justify spending that much for people to throw them out.

I'm using those invites as inspiration, but I'm definitely doing them myself. some people are paying close to that per person for the actual reception BUT its ultimately your decision, if you can afford them and invites are a top priority for you than go for it. Keep in mind that if you don't have an unlimited budget, later on in your planning you may have to compromise on something else you want because of the price of your invites. good luck deciding.
