Re: Invitations?

i just ordered mine on monday and my wedding is in january...so they need to be sent out in november. i should have them by end of sept/ early oct and that's plenty of time for the calligraphy. i probably should have ordered them a little earlier just to have some cushion room, but other stuff (like moving into my new house!) took over my life. i went to three places before i found something i liked.

Re: Invitations?

I just sent in our guest list to our woman who is printing our invitations - since everything is super personalized it takes a little longer than expected. I should have them back in my hands for January 1st to be mailed out the week of January 26th. I would say if your wedding is that far away to plan on ordering them 5-6 months ahead of time. You will have secured your guest list (I over ordered our invites by 15... incase we have any additions later on down the line) and it will give you enough time if you start shopping around now to get an idea of how much invitations will cost you. I was quite surprised to see how much they charge for a decent invitation at Party City. I ended up using Tessa from Evenstar Paperie (alot of the girls on the website are using her) she is extremely affordable (atleast I believe that) and she was so easy to work with and let me create my invitation the exact way that I wanted to. Or if you are handy - they sell cute stationary at ACMoore and Target that you can DIY and save lots of $$
