Invitations

I am so confused! How far in advance do you send out your wedding invitations? i have a wedding planner book and it states 2-4 months before the wedding and my etiquite book states the same thing... we are getting married on june 14 i have the rsvp posted on the card for april 30 b/c we went a lil crazy on the favors and they are expensive i figured i would give myself a month to go and get the exact number i need instead of over purchasing...we were thinking beginning of march. PLEASE HELP

If your RSVP date is April 30th, I'd send them out around the last week in March. Don't worry, you are already ahead of the game. 4 months, IMO, is too early to send out invitations. I sent mine out 2 months before, w/a RSVP date of 1 month before.

i was told 5 weeks before the rsvp date-mine is march 16th, but i sent them almost 2 months before the wedding date, on jan 21.

I agree. I'm almost a date twin with you (13th instead of 14th) and I'm sending mine out the 2 or 3 week in march with an RSVP date of April 15th. I'm sending out a second batch (B list) April 20th or so with an RSVP of May 15. I'm doing it a little earlier because most of our guest are military and out of town.
