Has anyone else had problems with invitations not being delivered. I sent out my invitations 2 weeks ago because I have a destination wedding. Well I have had 10 people (that I know of) call and let me know that they have not recieved their invite. I was just wondering if anyone else is going through the samething.
I also called the Post office and they said that they don't have anything sitting there for insufficent postage. I am at a loss.

Re: Invitations
I've had a few of my invites gone a missing but most got to their destination. I don't think it was insufficient postage. I forgot to put stamps on a few invites. But they came back to me within a day. But it makes me mad that they lost some of them.
Hope they turn up soon.

How does an invite get lost in the mail? I don't get it!

Re: Invitations
My friend mailed my invite and my parent's invite on same day , from the same place. I live with my parents, they got theirs almost a week before I got mine!

Re: Invitations
This happened to me with the save-the-dates - and mostly it turns out it was slightly off addresses that I got from people. If its slightly wrong, the post office has to figure it out and it took way longer. Like one I messed up the zip code on but otherwise was right came back to me like 3 weeks later! My mom was really made b/c some relatives got theirs and some were like where is mine? But I just blamed her cause she messed up all the addresses - like the wrong number or totally misspelled street or something.

Re: Invitations
Well I am going to wait till then end of the week and see what happens. I am almost out of invitations and to order more it is going to cost me another $200.
Now it is just the waiting game and hopefully they turn up.

Re: Invitations
This happened to many of my wedding invitations. I'm STILL upset with the US Postal service about this!!
For example, I sent out 3 to the same household...1 arrived in 2 or 3 days, 1 arrived 1 week later completely water-soaked and stained, and 1 never arrived.
2nd example: An invitation sent from Queens, NY arrived in San Fransisco in 4 days; same invitation sent from Queens, NY arrived in Ohio in 3 weeks.
3rd example: I've sent my friend in Manhattan birthday cards and postcards many times in the past with no problems, but the wedding invitation (which was no bigger than a birthday card envelope) was returned to me with 'Address Unknown' on it. My friend and i are still stumped over this.

Re: Invitations
I had problems with RSVPs not being delivered to my parents' house. Several friends told me they sent in their RSVP a month BEFORE I actually received it! I'm thinking since the RSVP envelope is slightly smaller than a regular envelope, it probably got dropped on the floor of the post office or something and no one noticed for weeks.

Re: Invitations
Same thing happened to me. One of FH's cousin's STILL hasn't gotten his invite. And his Aunt keeps calling b*itching and complaining that her son still didn't get an invite. She acts like we did it on purpose. We didn't of course! But yes, I am ticked off that this one is missing and I have to send another one to him.

With all the problems with invites I don't even want to think about problems with reply cards.

Re: Invitations
The worst of it all is that both sets of my grandparents didn't get the invites, so now they are upset. Like I wouldn't send my grandparents invitations. I would like to go in the back of the post office myself and start looking around I can imagine what I would find.
