invitations

We are doing a beach theme, so I wanted very beachy invitiations. FH and I love the ones attached, but the paper is kinda thin... does it matter? I cant make that call cause i have said all along that we would not spend alot on them since they are a piece of paper people look at when they get, then throw in a drawer for months and then take out the day of the wedding and throw away after, so why pay so much for fancy ones? But do you think it is bad if they are kinda thin paper? That is just how they come...

Honestly and imo i'm not a big fan of those invites. I TOTALLY agree that it's hard to rationalize spending $$$$ on something that's going to be put in a drawer and then thrown away.

I think that a thin invite isn't a terrible thing but don't let it be too thing that it has the chance of tearing or something.

I think with invites (and most things) it is totally personal preference. Some people spend a small fortune on them and other's chose to use this is a place to cut back. It's 100% up to you and FH.

I don't think however anyone would get an invite and go damn this paper is thin. (unless it were like computer paper)

im paying less than 300 for my invites... they are in my album... they are a thick paper tho... i agree, that screw anyone who has something bad to say about the invite... but i would order a sample and check the exact thickness...

I got the sample... they are definetly flimsy, but they are not like paper... they are definitely thicker! It seems that most of the carlson craft invites that are not pockets are all thin cardstock. we just love the design... it was our fav and most wedding-ish of all the beachy invitiations. so confused
