Invitations

Invitations

So, to most of my family and friends' surprise, I have been an extremely laid back bride up until...THIS WEEK! For some reason, it's finally starting to hit me how much I still really have to do.

Does anyone have any recommendations of where to purchase invites? Also, how long in advance do you need to buy them? Is there a usual amount of time it takes for the order to come in? TIA

Don't worry we have plenty of time!! (my wedding's 2 days after yours) I checked out one invitation store called Have You Heard in Bellmore and they had a huge selection, but we don't have to order them until like jan/feb so we have a few months to shop around and find what we like :) What else do you still have to do? Do you have most of your vendors booked?

Hi august ladies! there's a ton of time, no stress! invites really depend on what you are looking to do. I just got on this last week because I am doing custom invites. The woman told me I was a little behind (she typically does a year before the date), but there would be absolutely no problems in getting them done. I think if you are ordering somewhere, january/feb is more than enough time, the latest I've read is 6 months before.

I am getting married in May and I am going to be ordering them this month. I found my invites on Etsy.

Re: Invitations

I'm getting married the same day as you and I just ordered my invites, I kind of think it's way early but wanted to get it done before the spring semester starts (since I'm in law school). I found the invites I liked at Party City by looking through the books, then found an online retailer who would give me the same great deal Party City gives (30% off invites, 20% off accompanying pieces) so I used 'Invitation Creation by Dawn' (not Invitations by Dawn, different company)... she works out of Oceanside, we haven't received them yet but she's been wonderful so far. I made a mistake on the way I set up the wording and didn't realize and she fixed it for me, she's been really helpful. And I got a great price for pocketfold invites, like $2.85/invite for the pocketfolds (including ALL pieces, envelopes, etc.). http://invites1.com/
I was planning to post something when I got the invites in the next week or so but figured maybe you could look into her before you order elsewhere. I was very happy with the price and ease of the order.
