what do reception cards for?

Reception cards is a card that your guest send back to you indicating if they will be attending your wedding or not. It is the way that you would keep track too.

Actually that is a response card.

The reception card lists the venue where you'll be holding your reception. Typically the invite only has the church or temple information on it

My ceremony and reception were at the same place so I did not need a reception card since it was on the original invite.

Reception cards don't need to be used if you are having yoru reception and ceremony at the same place- however, if it's at 2 differnt locations you should use them. This way, if people cannot or don't want to attend the ceremony, they know where the reception is.
