How long before the wedding should invitations be picked/ordered?

My wedding is in 6 months and I havent even started looking yet!

you should definitely get on that soon...

you want your rsvp date to be around 4-5 weeks before your wedding... and you should send the ivites out another 4 - 5 prior to your rsvp date... so you need them around 3ish months before to address them and whatnot...

it took me 3 months just to find invites i liked
