Re: Invitations
you should send your invites out about 3 months before the wedding...
depending on who does them and how long they need to do them, if you are getting calligraphy... i would start looking at about a year to 9 months out... it took me about 3 months to find invites that i liked... and it took almost 3 months to go back and forth with proofs... friday i picked up my invitations and they were printed wrong... so the invitation has to be done over....
I am getting calligraphy done by a friend of my family and since i have a large guest list she needs the invitations sooner....
I paid $300 for 175 Invitations & envelopes (w/printed return address), 175 RSVP and envelopes (w/printed address)

Re: Invitations
I just ordered mine today and paid uner $400. I'm not getting them addressed because it's too expensive. I wil either ask a friend to do the caligraphy or I'm considering printing them myself.
You will do fine with $500. There are so many styles to chose from!

Re: Invitations
Are you planning on getting very fancy invites? I would suggest Vponsale.com because they have good choices and not expensive because response cards come free. I dont care much about spending a lot on invites so I dont know your particular taste. I am getting 75 invites and it is costing me $80.00 which includes the resp card envelopes and invite envelopes with my addy on them.
