Invitations

My fiance and I went to look at invitations yesterday for the first time and fell in love with one. They are very simple but elegant. We need to order 150 and with the envelopes, a lining, the invitations, reception card and response card and envelope the total cost is 1500.00. I was blown away. I felt this was very expensive as I only budgeted for 750-1000 for invitations. Can anyone refer a good place or let me know what they are spending on their invitations and how many? Also if we wanted to get computer calligraphy done for the addresses it would cost an extra 375.00.

We used a local vendor located in Bellmore and got 125 invites for under $400 we saved money on ceremony cards b/c we're getting married at RH. I passed on the caligraphy b/c i can print them myself and use clear address labels...I also have pretty decent handwriting just in case.

I might even try printing them directly from my printer...

I got 150 pocketfold invitations with satin ribbon, rhinestone slides, 3 inserts, and computer calligraphy for address, rsvp envelopes, and return addresses all for under $1,000.
