Invitations

The parents of the bride are paying for the reception and the parents of the groom are paying for the band, flowers and photographer. Is it appropriate for the invitation to state first the names of the brides parents along with (not and) the names of the grooms parents request the honor of your presence -----------------. Does that sound too much like the grooms parents are sharing in the cost of the reception? Not to sound greedy but want to do what is proper. Answers needed asap. Deadline immed.Need to know asap.

It is very appropriate and from ywhat ou are saying they are also helping to pay for the wedding. Paying for the wedding doesn't just consist of paying for the reception, it includes everything that is associated with the wedding and it sounds like the groom's parents are definitely doing their share.
It would be very respectful of you to do the wording that way.
