Invitations

Invitations

I am having such issues deciding on invitations I like. I have found two that I really like one is a pocketfold invite & the other is just a plain flatcard invite. I absolutely love the pocketfold one but of course it will cost me about $300 more then the flatcard. FH of course wants the cheaper one & people keep telling me no one will pay attention to the invite but me. I don't know what to do- I thought I would be fine with the flatcard until I looked at my sample of the pocketfold last night I really need some advice

For me I decided that I was not going to spend an arm and leg on something that people will throw out!

Maybe you can try to do DIY for pocketfolds.

I would go with the cheaper alternative. But that is just my opinion!

I think you just need to decide what details are the most important to you.
For me I did not want to spend alot on invites. I ended up finding a DIY Brides Michael's invite I actually loved and went with that.
I say for that much of a difference, $300, I'd put that money toward some other important aspect of the wedding.

Was thinking of the DIY idea but when I added up the cost it was coming out to more then the cheaper invites LOL. I think I may just go with the cheaper ones they are still really nice. Thanks for your help

Ohh ok... storkie has really nice one. I've been looking on preciousinvitaions.com & for the modern bride.

I love the invites but I don't want to go broke! hahaha...

If you send something you like to mycustomweddingshoppe, she can recreate it and give u a price. Can't hurt!

I know what you mean. I fell in love with pocketfold invites and embellishments for my invite. When I showed my sample to friends their jaws dropped and I think they realized how much work was put into it. So maybe they won't throw it out? Alot of my guests are really close friends so I might just tell them to not toss it.

I went the cheaper route since its something people will look at once and throw out. The pocketfolds are def nice but Id rather use my money towards something else. Good Luck!

Re: Invitations

my friend actually went to this place in the city that is like my marshalls/tj maxx of invits.

its when the boarders or designs are printed but none of the info and either the person didnt want them or something is off. i know it sounds like they are horrible but honestly they are really nice and you would never know anything was wrong with them.

ex. something my be off centered by a hair

she got hers there and had them do the printing and she saved nearly half on them and they looked awesome!

we are prob gonna check out a place like that

The pocketfolds themselves start at $.69. How many invites are you getting that it's going to cost you an extra $300?

That was my issue- if DIY the pocketfolds cost less then a $1 but the website I saw the pocketfold invites I liked were charging an extra almost $2 for them I guess because they come assembled already. Plus the invites themselves were more expensive then the cheaper ones I liked.

But the issue has been solved turns out FH actually really liked the cheaper ones better & not because they were cheaper he liked the look of them. I like them also so we are just going to get those

Re: Invitations

I love the look of pocket fold invites, but to be honest they are hard to hang on the fridge

We recieved about 5 invites this year and I only hung up the flat ones... I kept the others in a basket by the fridge...

So, I have now changed my mind and think I am going with the less expensive flat one... but I may change my mind again
