We are doing the addresses for the invitations ourselves to cut costs. How did you all do this? With labels or printed on the envelopes? How do you even do it?

Invitations
I did labels for my brothers wedding and will do them for myself as well. If you use word when you print them you can use the code on the labels package and they will print correctly.

I'm just going to buy clear labels, it's such a pain to print them on the envelope and nobody looks at the addressing so I'm just putting labels on them

I'm going to write mine out myself. Really cut costs!

Re: Invitations
I printed ours. Did it in a word document and feed each envelope in the rear feed. Was a little time consuming (I did both inner & outer) but very easy.

I was going to print them like I did for our engagement party (through my regular home printer/MS Word) but Nicole at weddingink.net is so cheap I figured I didn't want the stress of lining everything up perfect for the fronts/return address and also spending money on the ink.
$0.39 for the Outer Envelope $0.20 for the Outer Back Flap (return address) $0.29 for the Inner Envelope $0.29 for the RSVP Envelope
this!

I think clear labels is fine. Go to Dafont.com and find a nice font. I know you can print labels in Word.
Our invitation lady addressed our invites using digital calligraphy.

I printed the address on the envelopes using a nice font. It was pretty easy. I just changed the page setup to the size of our envelope. Then I inserted and centered a text box. I put the addresses in the text box.
