Invitations

Hi ladies so where have you gotten your invitations or gotten samples from. That is my next check that I would like to get working on. I know what I want and think most place might not have as a sample. We are doing a movie theme wedding and want to incorporate it into our invitations. The base of the invitation to look like an old school movie poster (ex The Wedding staring .....as the bride and ......as the groom. One nigh only October 18, 2014, the response cards to look like movie tickets.) Does anyone know where I could look to get something like that or am I better off trying to design my own and printing off vistaprint or something? TIA

I ordered a bunch of samples but unfortunately never received them. I did order from bed/bath and they were nice. If you want to create your own you are probably better off meeting with someone because what I noticed from the online I couldn't customize my samples.

Me too... I am shopping around for invitations and she is one of the vendors I am excited about meeting. I'm just fearful she's out of our budget

Invitations - Long Island Weddings

Everyone raves about Jessica Leigh Paperie, but I met with her and was not too impressed; she wasn't flexible at all.

I ended up with Ellen from Addressed to Impress who is AMAZING, super affordable, and will tailor everything to what you want. I couldn't recommend her more!

Invitations - Long Island Weddings

Invitations were something that I really didn't want to spend a ton of money on because I just felt it was a waste. I know that I'll save it and our parents and some of our families will save it, but for the most part they will get thrown out. We get all of our invitations from Budget Printing in Rockville Centre - they're great! When we went last week I found one that I fell in love with! It's super classic and traditional looking and exactly what we were looking for - it also didn't break the bank. I'm going back tomorrow to finalize everything.

We have a large guest list, 264 people and for 175 invites, reception cards, envelope lining, RSVP cards and addressed envelopes we're spending about $750 which was WAY lower than any other quotes I received from other people. They can do all of the additional extras you want, but they will obviously cost extra. Good luck!

I agree with the post above from kroedal 187, everyone raves about Jessica Leigh & I wasn't impressed with they're prices or customer service one bit! They never returned one phone call or message from me! Maybe they should hire a receptionist! Ive been working with cherished moments invitations & her customer service has been excellent so far. She also has a website that's great!

Whimsy b paperie! We met with a lot of invitation vendors and they were by far the best and best priced. Also which was so nice…we are basically able to customize every stationery piece to how we want. A few friends of ours highly recommended them to us and so glad they did. This is the website… www.whimsyb.com. Ask for Jessica she has been really helpful through the process.

Two people recommended You're Invited to Celebrate in Mineola to me. I think they may be more traditional though. I feel like someone on Etsy could do that. We got invites to a wedding this past year that had something different like what you're going for and I remember they told me they got it off Etsy.
