I would like nice invites, but I don't want them to be super expensive and I am not that good at DIY. Who is everyone using for their invites? I was thinking of just getting those boxes from Michaels and printing them at home, but I don't know if it would turn out cheap looking??

I'm using cherished moments invitations in patchogue! Great quality, excellent prices and great customer service! Check her out! I also didn't wNt to spend a lot & I'm not a DIY person.. I also went to 3 other places that wanted like 800 plus for invitations and couldn't do it..

I think we are going to minute man press. We had some crazy meetings with some places and he felt they were the most reliable.

I signed up my email with Wedding Paper Divas and waited for a good discount. Ended up with around 30% off which was really helpful and shipping was only like $8. Not bad in my opinion! Stamps hurt more!

I actually ordered mine pre-printed from Michael's. It's a layered invitation and I have to attach the two pieces, but I don't think that will be too difficult. I was quoted three times as much when I looked into having almost exactly the same invitation custom made. I ordered a sample beforehand and it was really good quality.

I did mine on Zazzle.com and I have no complaints. We found a beautiful design, personalized it and had it within a week of ordering them. They can also match up RSVP cards, postage, labels, Thank you cards etc. The more you order, the more they discount the cards. If they aren't discounted, if you sign up for e-mails, they always have sales.

I did DIY printed invitations from Michaels. I used the 'Brides' collection from Gartner studios. You can see the finished project in my 'DIY' album (minus some info that I blurred out). They came out great in my opinion, though I will admit it was more time consuming than I realized. With 40% off coupons it came out to about $1 an invitation, which worked for our budget (not including postage). If you have any questions let me know. I'd be happy to answer any questions or help if I can!

Buy a file on etsy (Type in Printable wedding invitations), buy cardstock package + envelopes from michaels, get it printed at kinkos - SOO easy and affordable. I highly recommend doing this.

I have not tried this yet myseld but I think you can also upload your own design if you go this route and buy from Etsy to vistaprint.com and order through them. They are very reasonably priced.

Re: Invitations
I couldn't decide for a long time and then someone on this site suggested exclusively weddings! I absolutely loved them - simple yet elegant. You can ask for samples and decide. I created 2 accounts and got 10 samples. We paid for 175 Invitations + RSVPs with proofs and customization = $175

I used invitations by dawn.com. I ordered 175 invites and paid around $300 with everything (RSVP, reception card, pre-printed envelopes.) I didn't care much about the invites but these came out better than I expected.

Contact Ellen at Addressed to Impress! She does absolutely amazing work, and she's charging me half of what I was quoted everywhere else for the same thing!

Re: Invitations
Hi Star625 I am highly considering ordering my invitations from zazzle and was wondering what type of paper you chose-- I am thinking the groove, felt or metallic. I am also wondering if you can tell me your honest opinion about the quality... Did they look comparable to these more expensive boutique invitations?
