Why can't invitations be done more than 4 months before the wedding? I'm not seeing the point of waiting until then???

I think if you WANT to do them 4 months before then the person doing them should. However a lot can change in 4 months, start times, Guest addressing if you are getting it.. etc
Like I said if you are insisting then do it, if you can wait it out I dont think it is a bad idea

I ordered my invites today. that makes me a whole year away. No one can tell you it's too early!! and 4 months before is definitely not too early. I think it's best to have extra cushion time.

UNTRUE!!! I've had mine for about 3 months now & Im getting married in 5 months..so I got mine 7 months before. You can get them whenever your ready
i got mine about 6 months before - you can order them as soon as everything is confirmed...

you could in reality of course do them whenever you want however if you are using a person who has many many clients and if their weddings are before yours, that is why they wouldve told you that you had to wait to have yours done. i could understand though where you are coming from...like if you are ready to pay now, why should you wait. i think the exception though is if someone whose wedding is before yours comes to the invite designer after you, you shouldnt have to be put after them unless it would compromise them getting their invites on time. like if someones wedding is in july and they come to the designer after you, they still would be able to get their invites in time even if yours were completed first. , kwim
