Invitations are here!!!!! Yey!! And question...
I am so excited - my invitations arrived today and they are so beautiful!!!!!!!! I will try and scan and post a pic later. I used Favorite Things Invites in Nesconset (Smithtown), and I couldn't have made a better choice. If you are looking for something UNIQUE, give them a call...they are a participating vendor here...Now here's my question...when putting the invites in the inner envelope, what is the order? Should the invite show up first, on the flap side, then everything else behind it. Does everything else have to be in a certain order too? And also, does the response card go INSIDE the small envelope, or remains separate until they fill it out and put it in themselves...Thanks!!!! Geez, I never thought about these little things until now....

I know that there is a specific order to everything in the invite. If you are unsure you could probably call Favorite Things Invites and ask them what the order is. Maybe they can put one together for you as a sample. But I'm sure someone on here will know or know a resourse to direct you to! Good luck! I can't wait to see a scan of the invite.

I stressed over this too. I put my invite in with the tissue over it and all the stuff on top (this really should not matter what order, JMO honestly). I stuck one flap of the response in the envelope and left the other half out, hope that makes sense. You can just tuck it under the flap though too. Remember to number those response cards, I didn't need it but it is very good to do anyway! Good Luck!

Try doing a search on this.Someone posted about this a few months back and there was a link to a website about the 'order' that they are all supposed to go in.
If you can't find it...definitely call your vendor.
They should have instructed you how to do this...

I think the response card goes with the envelope but not in it and everyting goes in the invitation not behind it.

Re: Invitations are here!!!!! Yey!! And question...
Wait a sec, I had a card 'one paper' invite, is this a greeting card looking invitation? If so, everything goes inside and I don't believe for one second you will have a guest get that invite and say you didn't put things in order!
I had all the loose stuff in front of the invite so it was easy to pull out...why would you have tissue paper protecting the ink if all that extra stuff was placed behind? Am I confusing you yet? Sorry....

Make sure all documents are facing towards the reader when they open the inner envelope (face-up)The order is as follows:
Invitation (largest piece of set normally) is at the 'bottom', followed by matching direction card, reception card, response card envelope w/RSVP card tucked into flap but NOT inside.
If you are using tissue paper, put it after the invitation. If your direction cards are not printed to match your invite then put them BEHIND your invitation. This goes for all non-matching items such as hotel information cards.

Re: Invitations are here!!!!! Yey!! And question...
The order is this -invite (whether card or open and close type)
then, stacked on top of the invite, goes the other stuff, in size order with the smallest thing on top. The little tissue goes in between the invite and the rest of the stuff. Although I don't know why (expept for in my case where the ink from the direction card ruined the inside of the invites...) but they say that you do not put the stuff all inside the open and close type invite, rather in the order I stated above.....
