The post office actually let me hand-cancel my own invitations to make sure that they don't go through the machine...hopefully they arrive to their destination in good condition!

not sure...I wouldn't think so since I have heard of some brides having issues with the hand canceling..

after being back and forth to the PO THREE TIMES yesterday, I was just praying that I wouldn't have any issues with the cancelling/mailing this AM.
One of my friends got her invites all returned with postage due and messed up - I was so paranoid about preventing that !!!
So they definitely think i'm nuts at Malverne.

how do you know what the correct postage is if every post office you go to gives you a different amount? If you get a price from one PO and mail it from that PO will they still come back insuffient fund? Who determines if the get sent back.

my two visits were from one PO, but I didn't trust the guy I first went to to get them weighed (was too busy, not paying attention), so I checked back later when someone else was on. If when you were officially sending them out (like when you go to the PO and send them out that day), and they tell you it's okay, I would assume it is fine!
