Invitations are OUT!!!!

I just dropped them off at the post office near me!
I was sooo nervous handing them over to the Supervisor to be hand canceled! I hope they actually send them out today as promised!

I stopped by another post office beforehand in Maspeth and I asked the lady if they will be done today and she said 'hopefully'. I wasn't about to leave all my invitations with someone who said 'hopefully'.

Anyway, they are OUT and I feel soo relieved and excited!!!

Sooooooooo exciting!! I can't believe the 2010 board has finally reached this part of the planning process!!!

Now I definitely know not to go to Maspeth! LOL! Where did you send them from?

I can't believe it either! Time is going to fly from here on!

I was going to go to Astoria because it is usually quiet there - the post office is on Broadway and 43rd I think but I stopped by the Woodside branch on 61st street/Roosevelt Avenue and they were VERY nice and accommodating! I didn't have to wait on line. I asked someone in line if I could ask the teller something and he gave me the ok to go in front of him and then I immediately handed them over to the Supervisor.

This is true, I waited fooooorever when I went there for my STDs.

That is so exciting!!!

I work right near Grand Central station and recently saw a girl carrying a huge box with about 100 invitations in them..prob a future bride..

There is a post office right on Lexington Avenue, so I plan to walk over my invitations and have them go out from that branch.

I have been dubbed 'hyper organized'. It's both a bad and good trait of mine.

P.S: I wanted everything done an extra 2 weeks in advance because I have a lot of people on a B list. Also, if people don't respond by the RSVP date then I have a good 3 weeks leeway to track them down comfortably without them thinking I'm anal for calling immediately after the RSVP date. It's very strategic! hahaha

So exciting!!! FH and I are sending ours out within the next 2 weeks! Congrats!
