Invitations arrived--and there's a problem!! Any ideas?

My invitations are 2 layers of paper. The bottom layer is moire and the top layer is heavy card stock. When the invitations arrived, I looked at them and while they look beautiful, they are warped. They don't lay flat and curl up at the top and bottom.

I contacted the person with whom I worked to design these, and she suggested putting them under heavy books to flatten them.

I can do that, but I feel like they were executed poorly by the company.

What should I do? I'm afraid if I have them remade, it will happen again. Do I send them back and design new ones?

Anyone else have a similar problem?

You shouldn't have to do anything...they shouldn't be warped! I would send them back!

I would call them and tell them that its unacceptable for them to say put a book on top of them, while that may work you should not have to go through that you did not order invitations and spend money to have to deal with that, And you have enought time for new ones to be made.

i'd send them back. or if you're worried it will happen again, see if you can exchange them for something else.

You are all RIGHT! I looked through them last night and they are all warped! Why should I have to deal with that?!??!?

i agree they should be in perfect condition when you opened the box! You paid for a service it should be done right!

So here's the update. The woman I worked with on the invites called Checkerboard and she's sending her sample back to them to evaluate. Either they will remake them or I'll pick a different paper combination so it doesn't do that. I'm so relieved!

So the company agreed there was a problem and made me new ones----but different from what I selected! Sight unseen!

They arrived tonight and they look beautiful. They're not what I originally wanted, but better to have something simpler but executed well, than something fancy but poorly executed and warped!!
