I really love everyone's invites. She does beautiful work. How much time does it usually take? I am not sure yet about colors & such but I really want to order from her so I need to know how soon do I have to get my info to her? TIA

She gets busy..... so the sooner you have an idea you want to go w/ the better.
I would check out her portfolio to give you ideas. She requests that you send an inspiration board or pictures to help her figure out your vision. So I would def nail down colors/ideas before contacting her.

Thanks, I printed out the information sheet she asks you to fill out and I have been working on it. I was set on colors and then my mom was like' I don't like that...' so she has me second guessing myself. I am hoping to find my MOH dresses to lock it down.

Yea since everything with her is done through e-mail it just helps to have visuals to work off of. it's really amazing how she nails your vision by just sending her some pictures of things.
I wouldnt let you mom control your vision though - can you meet her in the middle??? Colors you like and colors she likes???

i'm fairly new to this site but i keep seeing posts about invitations by 'her' and other codenames used to disguise a vendor - is that becuase were not allowed to name particular vendors on here?
maybe im just confused and not sure how this site works, but i would think when there is positive discussion of a vendor it would be encouraged to use their name for recommendations. when i talk about my vendors should i be blocking out names?

LIW doesnt allow the usage of typing certain vendor names... due to past issues w/ them.. couldnt tell you what the issues are, but they just block certain names.

Depends on how long her list of people waiting for preliminary designs is. I'd say I was on her preliminary designs list for 2 weeks before she got to me. Once my name was #1, we picked a design in a matter of a day or 2. Then I was moved over the proof list. I was probably on that list for another week or so. Once I approved my online proof, it probably took her three weeks to actually send me my hard copy.
No rush for me though. I have plenty of time.

LIW blocks the names of certain vendors -- if you type them, they get replaced by just *****. (also happens if you type certain 'bad' words). Some might be vendors they've had issues with, but I think most of them are just popular ones who aren't officially LIW vendors (which I assume costs money). Putting in extra spaces or using codewords renders your comment readable to everyone here, but it keeps it from being searchable in the archives and on google. So no, you don't need to block out the names of your vendors -------------------------------------------------------------------- omg u rock for explaining! lol ive been wondering about some things!!
