Invitations dropped and people love them :-)))
YAY!!!! I really have to give my self a pat on the back for this. I worked my butty off doing them. I was freaking out because I was wondering will people like them, hate them, complain? But overall the consensus is they love them
) So I am happy, joy, joy!!
I used Kims Passion in CA. She basically ordered all the envelopment card stock for me, printed all my items for me and shipped it out to me. I would recommend her to people that are looking to do envelopment invites on your own. She was the cheapest I found over all. When she included the printing for all the materials it was still cheaper than others. If I had had someone do everything for me, it would have been at least $200 more and I was really trying to stay within budget for the invites.
I then collated everything, glued, taped, attached, and STRESSED for over a month over these things. I even CRIED when I was putting the response and reception cards together. Every type of adhesive I was using would appear right through the vellum and look like someone put their greasy fingers on the paper. Thank goodness for FH we were able to solve the problem. I don't have any pics yet but I will show those in my final review after the wedding. I don't have a scanner right now.
The image I am showing is just to show the envelopment. The same color and card stock envelopment is what we used. We then used petal paper as the support stock and vellum overlay attached with a ribbon on top. I placed a personalized seal (bottom layer petal paper, top layer vellum) on each invite (what a pain!) then closed the entire envelopment with a big red bow.
Now to wait for the responses....
