Invitations, finally!!!

Invitations, finally!!!

After waaay too many months of revisions, revisions, and more revisions, FH and I finally created an invitation we love and are in the process of mass producing (a much longer job than anticipated!). We've made some small tweaks since I took pictures, but it's pretty much what we'll be sending out. I don't post new threads too often, but this is such a HUGE thing to cross off the list, that I had to share.

Hooray!!!

DIY invitations...

my sister made my invitations like your and everyone said how much they loved them. YOur are so pretty. Yes they take time but you can see all of your hard work will pay off.
Here is tip for you double side tape the evelopes it makes them easier to open them.

Thanks everybody!!! When you look at a project for so long you begin to have doubts about it. It's so nice to get some positive feedback.

jeneric711: Did you mean double side tape the outer envelope or the pocketfold??

I now feel like I should run a paper store after all the paper research I did. I went through more paper options than I care to think about!!! I think I spent more money on 'test paper' than on the whole entire finished product combined!!!

I ended up using paper from a bunch of different sources...

The pocketfolds (as well as RSVP envelopes and outer envelopes) are from Montage Invitation Studio

The vine looking paper underneath the actual invitation is from Michael's. It's scrapbooking paper.

The other burgundy backing paper is heavy cardstock from a store in the city called Print Icon. It was on clearance and I got more than I could ever use for like $15. I will have this paper for the rest of my life!!!

The paper I printed everything on is from Paper Presentation.

Hope that helped!

PS - Lily: don't my menu options sound yummy???
