Invitations - Foreign Wording

Invitations - Foreign Wording

I am just curious if any of you brides had to send invitations out of the US, which means a set of invites in a foreign language for a group of people and english for the majority of the rest of the invitees.

If anyone has done this in the past, I would love to hear how they handled ordering the invites and if there are a minimum number of invites you had to order? Any help would be appreciated.

I know I am not very vocal on these boards, but you ladies have lots of experience and always are a big help. Hopefully, I can learn and then help others.

TIA

I plan on sending invites to Italy and I will not be ordering seperate invites. My feeling is that when they send them to my family they are in Italian. JMO. They'll see my name and the date if they have any questions they'll call my parents. Sorry I know that this didn't help you at all.

I'd like to know this info as well. We're sending invites to Italy, PR and I think Venezuela and I wasn't planning on multilingual or separate invites. If anyone has any insight, that'd be great!

My invitations were a trifold were one piece had the english and one had the italian. Even though most of the guests were american and couldnt read italian, i thought it was a nice gesture to his family anyway.

i'm not sending my invites out, but i've been looking at bilingual invites (english and chinese). when you open up the card, the left side is in one language and the right side is in the other. i've also seen invites where you slide it out of the envelope and one side is in one language and then when you flip it over, it's the other language on the other side.

We had DIY invites and we made up some of the invites in Italian to send overseas.

We sent them in English. They knew that it was for my wedding and their English is good enough for them to understand it.
