I'm trying to keep the # of guests down- so I'm going to do an A and B list - my question is Do I send out the A invitations earlier then normal? (my wedding is in June- so i think the norm would be April) and then when do I send out the B invitations? please help.

I know i was on a B list of a wedding once, I got the invitation with 3 weeks to go and only had a week to RSVP. I thought that was a little rushed, and obvious that I was on the B list, or was forgot so I would do the B list with a little more time, maybe a month 1/2 before and the A list three months before so as you get no's you can start the B list?

I would do as early as possible this way when you do the B list...people won't feel like there a B person. Keep in mind who talks, to who though. they may find out when original invites go out.

I know this part is realistic but I hate that we have to worry about it! my parents were all over that issue...

thanks ladies....yea i dont want it to seem that anyone is on the B list- so I'll do it as early as possible- and they wont know cause its mainly work people- like people I used to work with and people FH works with now- so they wont talk to anyone on the A list.... I should be fine.

I'll be sending out my A list invites 10 weeks before the wedding and will be making the RSVP just over a month before so I'll still have time to send out any B-listers. Luckily the B-listers we have don't know the A-listers so it's all good

b listers should go out no less then 6 weeks before the event
