Invitations??? HELP!!!

Invitations??? HELP!!!

I am really behind on things, and I need to order my invitations!!!!!

1.) How much should I budget? I have about 225 invites.

2.) What places are top rated for invites???

3.) Would it be insane to attempt to DIY, if not what would it entail me doing???? Could I save a lot???

Re: Invitations??? HELP!!!

I would try a few online places like Invitations by Dawn, Rexcraft, or try to do a search on the boards for invites. You probably need about 100 to 125 invites.

The only type of DIY I would try is probably going o Michaels, they have really nice invites.

Hope that helps, I actually need to order invites soon as well.

you need 225 invites? or did you invite 225 people cuz then you need about half that in invites.

it really depends how fancy you want your invites. some pocketfolds breal down to 3.25-4.75 per invite.

DIY can save you money but its time consuming and you would have to work double time to get them done if you want something different.

you could always go to Michaels and get the invitation kits that you print on your home computer and they are already ready to go...those you can DIY quickly and they are fairly cheap. like $30 a box or something like that

I got my gatefold DIY invites at michaels and they look like they will be easy to make. I used 50 % off coupons and got 25 invite kits for about $20 each so they are going to save me a ton!!!

I love Michaels!! I got invited from there but they were on clearance so I couldn't find enough boxes, so instead I am going to use the boxes I found for my bridal shower that I know nothing about. I told my girls to figure out how to incorporate it with whatever ideas they have thus far.

They are Anna Griffin. I don't have pics in my album yet but will put them in eventually they are green and ivory -the green matches my BM dresses exactly and i have a pic of my dress in my album.

call Judi at A Bridal Paperie.

They are excellent quality, great prices, and fast turn around since they are the manufacturers. No middleman, no shipping fees, no proof fees.

tell her Stacy recommended her. She is great to work with.

I got 150 3-layer raise printed invites with lined envelopes for $680. I saved $700 from every other place.

I did not realize how soon you are getting married. DIY might be a little to much to take on.

that is why I recommend A Bridal Paperie...they do all the printing on the premises.

R U willing to go to brooklyn??? I know some really nice spots there. . . but I don't know it if would be too much travelin for ya.

I saw this thing on an informercial the Cricut and it really made me want to DIY -- but I don't know if that is an insane idea -- I wonder if anyone has attempted it??

Are you a super craft bride??? Is your wedding party wiling to pitch in and help you assembly line?

here's my invitation from an Anna Griffin kit from Michael's. you print on the vellum overlay and then tie to the under card with ribbon provided. 25 in box for $40 but use coupons!!
it really looks pretty and wasn't that hard to do. you need to make a page template and choose a type font and size and figure out your invitation wording. then just print.

Re: Invitations??? HELP!!!

I, too, was drowning in an invitation nightmare. I look at the pics these ladies post of their DIY invites, and I wanted to stab myself in the face. How could they make these incredible invites??? I would have maimed myself with a hole puncher and gotten some dreaded wasting disease from inhaling glue if I even tried it.

So I went to rexcraft.com. I have to say, they are not in the same league as those Tessa invites, or some of the DIY ones I've seen. But for me, I was very happy to just order and have them send them to me. I think the entire order came out to about $450. If you order, go to one of those coupon code websites. I found a coupon for 15% off!!

My invites are below (the catalog pic), and I put a monogram on the top.

Good luck!
