Invitations Help/Questions

I am sorry...know this must have been done a thousand times.
Here's the questions:

1-When you buy wedding invitations, does the printer address all the inside envelopes (returns)?

2-How do I properly address a married couple?

3-How Do I address someone plus guest?

4-How do I address a couple living together properly who are not married?

Anything I should know? Any other tips?

I am just starting to do my guest list with names & addresses in Excel.....

Hope I don't sound dumb, just never did this & nervous!

1- The printer only does the inner env. if you pay them to do it. It was very expensive! About $225 for 100 inv. I did the inner & outer myself on the computer and they came out great! (used microsoft works) The printer will put your return address on the inv. for a reasonable charge. (worth it!)

2- Married couple Mr & Mrs John Smith for outer. For inner it depends on how formal your wedding is. Formal way Mr & Mrs Smith.(I put Aunt & Uncle when I needed to, it was the right way for me)

3- Mr John Smith and Guest if there is no significant other if they are engaged or dating fo a long time put the persons name instead of and guest.
This is only for the inner env. Mr. John Smith for outer.

Don't forget to put directions to the church and reception.

Tip: Assign a number to each guest and put that number inside their response card just in case they forget to put their name on. (hasen't happent to me yet but I thought it was a smart idea)

They do have a large selection, they help you narrow down the choises so you don't have to go through all the books. Let them know what you like and they will help you find it.
I thought the prices were good too. Plus you get service that you wouldn't get from discount stores or catalog.
