Invitations - Make them yourself or professional ones?

Hi

I'm just starting to look into invitations. What is best?

I was thinking of having this graphic designer make a design and then have them printed through kinkos or another printer.

-OR-

Just go to an invitation place and choose from the selections in the book.

What do you think would be cheaper?

THANKS!

Depends on what your budget is....I haven't ordered my wedding invitations..still have a ways to go but I made my own invites for my E-Party with a kit from AC Moore

I'm making my own because I think it is a little bit cheaper and I didn't really like any of the invitations that I saw.

I'm doing pocketfold invites, which I bought online. I got the paper from Michaels and I'm doing the printing myself. I will warn you though, doing your own invitations is a LOT of work. I'm only making about 50, and it still is time-consuming.

I also think it depends on what your looking for.. I was going to do them myself, but then ended up with someone who would do them really cheap!

good luck!
