My parents are paying for our RH so they feel that only their name should me on the invitations. Is that right? I feel kind of bad the FH parents names won't be on them. FH parents are paying for our extras. Limo, Flowers, DJ. I'm so stressed. I don't want to piss my parents off but I feel that his parents are also helping out with the wedding. WHAT DO I DO? My parents feel that they are paying for our wedding not FH parents.

Re: Invitations - PLEASE HELP
Even if FH's parents aren't paying, are your prents willing to at least have them on the invitations at all? If so, then why not do:
Bride's parents request.... marriage of their daughter Bride's name to Groom's name Son of Groom's parents
If your parents don't want his parents on there at all, well then there are bigger issues that need to be dealt with IMO

I feel the same way about that.
My parents are paying for 99% of our wedding. I felt bad wording my invite the way i did b/c it didn't make my parents the center of attention or the host.... but my parents didn't care b/c it's our wedding, and this way no one was offended. I personally feel that if someone is so concerned about letting people know that they paid for everything, there is an issue. Or... maybe I didn't say that right. I don't want to upset anyone... i just mean that who pays for what shouldn't really matter, especially on an invitiation. It's about celebrating love, not who paid for what. Besides...your inlaws are paying for a lot too...

Re: Invitations - PLEASE HELP
I just spoke to my mother & she said if it really means that much to me we can add their names under FH's name. She doesn't want me to be sick & mad over invitations.

Re: Invitations - PLEASE HELP
FH only has his mother in his life so when we did our invites we just put my parent's name. They are giving us our wedding and FH said it was better if we just put their names bc it was awkward saying son of with just one name. I don't think it's a big deal if their names on aren't on the invite...JMO

Re: Invitations - PLEASE HELP
We did together with their parents on our invitations, I didn't want to list all the names I felt like it was too many, I don't think my mom is too happy about this but thats what I wanted!!

Re: Invitations - PLEASE HELP
FH and I are actually paying for the whole thing ourselves, so technically we dont have to put anything... but we decided to put both our parents as a sign of respect.
