I have finally blocked the hotel rooms for my wedding. The hotel needs people to book their rooms 3 months before my wedding. (April 18th) Then this way the rooms that werent booked can be released and we wouldnt be responsible for them. Now my questions is: Should I just send out my invitations 4 months in advanced. ( i do have ALOT of OOT guests, and my family su*** with RSVPing), or should I send out a little piece of cardstock paper with our monogram on it and explain about the hotel. We already gave our STDs out to our guests from our eparty. I still have people that need to get the STD but I cant exactly ask people to book a room without an invitation...right? SO basically is it ok to send my invites out 4 months before my wedding??? DO you have any other ideas for me to do if I cant send them that far in advanced?

Re: Invitations Please Help!!! A lil long.....sorry
did you already send out save the dates? if you didnt then i would send it with the std - if you did send them already - you could always send a cute little cardstock with your monogram and explain the situation .. i would not send out the invites that early tho...

I blocked with the Best too, but unless I wanted to pay for all 20 rooms up front, and then get reimbursed as people booked, I had to do it this way. At least that is what she told me. I wanted to just send out little notes to everyone and then my pain in the a** brother tells me that I can't give people information about a hotel without an invitation. I just wanted other opinions as to proper etiquette.
