Re: Invitations: Prices...

I would recommend ordering more than 7 extra. Off the top of my head, after invitations went out we added 4 guests (2 invitations), and an additional 2 invitations were lost in the mail and had to be resent. Plus some of my invitations had imperfections so I refused to send them out.

I have to go back through my paperwork to see how much they cost.

I'm going to make my own, and the supplies cost about $325 for 125 invites

Re: Invitations: Prices...

I am going to my RH's vendor.. They are giving us discount in everything we choose =-) So its better for us to stay that way

(See for example 2hrs sxtra of photograpphy are only costing us $100!!!!!! and We got 2 phtographers) we get good discounts with them =-)

So i sould order 80 invites then????

Re: Invitations: Prices & What Do i need?...

what you really NEED is:

Invitation, Outer Envelope (this is what you put a stamp on and address

Response Card and Envelope OR Response Postcard (saves on needing to buy envelope)

That's it!

Things you can add:

Inner envelope (everything goes into the inner envelope and then the inner envelope goes into the outer envelope...this keeps the invitation set nice and clean and you can address specific names on the inner envelope, like The outer envelope would say Jones Family, and inner would say Mr and Mrs Jones, and John and Marie (kid))

Reception Card (this insert would have the actual reception info on it, esp if you're reception is someplace other than the ceremony)

Direction Card

Accomodations card (hotel block info)

HTH chica!

Re: Invitations: Prices & What Do i need?...

I would really recommend ordering at LEAST 90-100. You have a lot of time until you send out invites and your list can grow, plus you might need a B list. It's a LOT cheaper to order 10 or 20 more now than to order a whole new set later.

I originally thought I was only going to need 125 invitations. By the time I ordered my list grew and I had 130 printed. I ordered 165 and thought I was crazy and started to regret spending the money. Alltogether, I ended up sending out 153, and who knows, I might need one or two more. I actually did send out 2 more than that since 2 people did not get their originals so I sent replacements. So I've send 155 and after thinking I had 30 extra I only have 10 extra.

I ordered the main invitations (with ceremony info), reception card, response card, accomodations card, and direction card. Response envelope, Inner and Outer Envelopes, liners for inner envelopes and ribbons.

You don't need the inner envelopes, you also don't need hotel and direction cards. usually you can get them provided by the place. We just wanted them to match based on the design of our invitation.

I spent close to $1000 for my 165 including inner and outer addressing, but mine are custom designed with a ribbon and rhinestone slide and a ribbon on the response envelope. You can do it for a LOT cheaper, but I would allocate at least $300.

Haha V, don't freak out! My invitation only had the actual invitation, RSVP card with envelope, direction cards that the RH gave us and an outer envelope.

We didn't bother with anything else since a) we are getting married at the RH so we didn't need a reception card b) our accomodation info went out with our STDs and is on our website and c) I think inner envelopes are a waste of paper and money (sorry JMO)

We sent out about 90 invitations but got 120 just in case, which ended up being good because we can add some B list people if we need to!

HTH!

I dont think I need the Inner envelop i guess by the looks of it...
See we have 115 guest!!!
I have a calculation 65 invitatinos are needed...

100 is too much. i think i ordered 15 or 20 more than what i needed and i was fine with just an extra 10. that's also b/c our guest list was really at it's capacity and we weren't planning on inviting others. if you think that you/FH or both parents will want to invite more after you've sent them out, then order 15-20 more. that's JMO

Oh, for some reason I was reading it as you needed 75. If you need 65, I'd order 80

I paid 175 for 100 on vistaprint.com :) that included invites, envelopes, reply cards n envelopes, and return addressing. just had to buy inner envelopes seperately.

Not that it will help you but I made my own and it cost me 200 for invites, accommodation cards, direction cards, RSVP postcards, and envelopes. I also am making my menus, programs, table numbers, and name cards with the leftover material!
