How are you addressing your envelopes? By yourselves? Sending for hand calligraphy? Sending for last calligraphy? Which is the quickest and most cost effective? I have heard laser calligraphy, but FH and I are arguing about the best & quickest way to get someone?
Any suggestions or input?

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
Sent mine out for hand calligraphy about $2.50 per set.
We used Calligraphy by June.

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
I used Inkspun which was the cheapest way I could find without doing them myself. They do digital calligraphy (computerized) for just $0.39 an envelope (+$0.20 for inside too). I thought they came out great.

We are getting married the same day ! My envelopes are being done where i got the invites (Lion in the Sun). It is the ink/jet? computer caligraphy! About $1.25 per envelope (outside only) But i will get a discount because i gave them a formatted floppy disk!
Good Luck!
I shoul have mine next week!

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
Valenia, thanks for posting the calligraphy site. The store that I am looking at for invites charges $1.50 for the same thing, so this is a great find for me. How long did it take for the envelopes to be ready?

I'm worried about timing too - I'm a little late in the process. How long did Inkspun take?

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
It took just about a week from when I mailed the envelopes until they were mailed back to me. I emailed the list to them which saved some time over sending a list on paper. I would plan for two weeks to be safest though!!
They will send you samples if you'd like to check out the quality. Just give him a call, he is super nice!
FYI - I also had them do my placecards if you are curious about that as well.

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
At the GTG, LIW gave out a card from Inkspun stating that they do the calligraphy for the envelopes, the prices (as stated already) and they would do 100 seating cards for free. Mary, did you get that card?

Mary, look. If you have it, I would use it. I am going to use Inkspun when it comes time for my invitations.

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
I did my invites myself using my laser printer. It took me one full evening and a couple extra hours to do both the inner and out envelopes of 100 invites. I liked how they came out.

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
I will be using my printer to do them. I chose spending more on the actual invite rather than on the outside of the envelopes I LOVE my invites, can't wait to pick them up!

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
We used www.afineletter.com and they did an awesome job. The prices range from .50 and up per set, but they have lots of lettering styles to choose from and its all hand done. We were happy with them so I'm passing it on.

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
For those who did them on the computer, did you have to do each envelope seperately, or could you put all of the envelopes in a spreadsheet and print out multiple envelopes?

Re: Invitations - printing envelopes?
I was hoping to just use my printer. Will this be nice enough? I never even thought about a calligrapher and I'd rather save the money if I can.

I'm doing mine on my printer. I'm using a fancy calligraphy type script font.
