Invitations Question

I have been flipping through the invitation catalogs and am confused between the different cards. Anyone know what the 'informal cards' are for? Can I use them as Save-The-Date Cards so that they can all be coordinated? Also, do you think that it would be cheap-looking if I put both the church and reception information on the same card instead of having a separate reception card? This way it would save me a little money and the small reception card is easy to lose. Thanks in advance!

if you are going to go 'cheap' on something, I would say invitations would a good choice - people remember the music and the food, and of course you want a dress you love. I am probably doing a one piece invitation entirely, where the bottom is perferated and you detach the response card and send it back as a postcard!

Yes i think you can use the informals for save-the-date cards. I think it's fine to put everything on one card, as long as the invitation card is large enough and the font is appropriate so it's easy to read, and not crowded looking. For example, since my FI and I wrote
'Bride's name
and
Groom's name
request the honor of you presence'
and didn't put our parents names, we were able to go w/ a smaller card, because it wasn't going to be crowded.
Good luck!
