With my rsvp deadline tomorrow, I'm just finding out that some people never even got an invitation... How did they not get returned to me? How does it just get lost in the mail?? Has this happened to anyone else???

ugh really? I am worried about this...
FH just (this past weekend) made up with one of his friends that wouldn't talk to him since last September b/c he thought we didnt invite him to the engagement party. We did the invite must have gotten lost!!! ( yes very lame that he wouldnt talk to him but whatever)...
I am worried our invites will get lost and I will have no idea

I got an invitation returned to me 3 weeks after I mailed them. USPS sux!
I'm still missing 65 RSVP's...I wonder if those invitations disappeared too

yes, exactly... it makes you wonder just how many people are not being actively lazy and just NEVER got the damn thing in the 1st place! now, we have to go around calling everyone

I only sent mine out last week, but my worry is the post office delivers to other people. My neighbor knocked on my door yesterday with an opened reply saying that it was in her mailbox and she was sorry but didn't even look at the name. Who knows if my other neighbors would deliver...it's scary.

Ugh okay let me tell you how I FEEL your pain. FIRST 3 of my invites got sent back to me abt 2 weeks after I had mailed them. I went to the post office and re-mailed them 2 weeks ago on a wednesday and I call my best friend to see if he finally got it (he is in Fl. right now for a work thing), AND NOTHING! He is getting other mail so its not the address but who knows where it is now bc I haven't gotten it back. And the thing is I only know abt his bc I talk to him all the time but who knows if all my mom's people that she invited even got them. This is BY FAR the most stressful and frustration part of my planning!

Mine is tomorrow too! And YES! It happened to me! I'm so pissed off about this! I sent 6 invitations to the same house. All different people. One 1 of the 6 received it!!!!!!!!! And I'm getting this from a few others I mailed. I got 3 returns so far all together. The 1st 2 came like the week after I mailed them but the last one just got to my house on Friday.....I hate hateeeeeeeeeeeeeee the post office!

At least with an evite, you can see if people received it
But seriously, we spend so much time, effort & money on assembling & mailing these invitations...then the post office screws everything up..it sux!

OMG... I have FH's fam from maryland... sent 3 invites to one household and i dont think any of them got it.... but it was the same address we sent the shower invite too and they got that... so its like a mystery... we never got it returned to us so we have no clue

it does happen. All I can say is that you will find out when you start making calls. I also had people tell me they never got it but really then did and felt like an a$$ when they forgot to RSVP......so dont believe that all of them are lost.

I had the same thing happen to us.
DH's Aunt who is a BEYOTCH and complains about every single thing... She claims her son never got an invite. I waited a week and then re-sent him another one.
She called and bitched and called and bitched again that he never got the invite....
Still nothing came back.
So THEN she called MIL and said that he got the invite but NO response card.
That day when MIL told me, I had the response in my hand!
