if you sent invitations internationally, what did you do for response card envelope postage?

Re: invitations to international guests?
when i mailed mine on saturday they said there's nothign they could do in terms of response postage bc there's no way to determine waht the country would charge to mail it back. so... no postage. i felt bad but i'm sure it's not the first time it happeened to them.

Nothing...our stamps won't be recognized by their countries.
They can always e-mail an RSVP response

Re: invitations to international guests?
I had one go international. I just put the regular $0.44 stamp on it, and if she responds, she can add the rest.
You can have the post office tell you how much it would really be and buy the correct postage for it if you want.

I also put nothing. I felt bad too but what can you do? its a stamp truthfully and most people dont mind if they understand that its coming from another country. i had 35 i sent to new zealand and had no idea how much it would be (turns out to be different depending on which part of the country i sent it to!)

Re: invitations to international guests?
my post office told me not to put a stamp on the response envelope b/c they have different postage stamps and their PO's wont accept ours for outgoing...

My FMIL mailed us the Croatian postage needed. But we also send invites to Slovenia and Bermuda, they are on their own!

I did just no stamp on it. That is b/c Post office told me they have to purchase it.
But
FH emailed his cousin for the list of people coming.

Re: invitations to international guests?
I'm sending to Ireland and I'm not putting a stamp. But I am putting a handwritten note in the envelope letting them know that if they'd like to call or email instead of sending back the card that would be fine. It's so tiny I don't even know if it will make it back here.

I am not putting stamps either. They all know who is invited and most have already flights booked . So just sending the invite to make it more formal.

Re: invitations to international guests?
FSIL is our only international invitation...and seeing as she didn't give us ANY stamp on our RSVP envelope to her wedding (P.S. We are supposed to RSVP to them in GERMANY) we'll be giving her the same respect she gave us.
