Invitations- Vendor RAVE!
I know I haven't posted that often, but I read the boards ALL the time, and have gotten wonderful ideas here!
I just wanted to share my invitation experience with you, and hopefully somebody will find it helpful!
When I started my invitations, I found someone who made custom invitations out of her home. I worked with this woman for a couple of months, designing the invitations and she turned out to be a wacko. I was panicked, I had a little over a month before my invitations needed to be sent out, and I had no invitations!
My moms friend recommended a woman that lives in Floral Park who is a printer, and she works with all the major invitation companies. Her name is Joan, and she works out of her home, in a beautiful office. The moment that I met her I was put completely at ease, she is so nice and easy to work with! We looked through her books, and when she had an idea what my style was, she sent HOME multiple invitation books for me to look through. I thought that was great because I have a hard time making a decision!
It is completely evident that Joan has been in this business for many years. She knew all the ins and outs of each company, and told me the honest truth what would look nice and what would not. I wound up ordering a beautiful and elegant invitation from Embossed Graphics *totally would recommend them!* When ordering, Joan didn't even want me to leave a deposit, she ordered them in good faith. From the time that we ordered the invitation, to the invitation being in my hands, it was LESS than 2 weeks! She did a wonderful job, and made the process so easy!
My invitations were so reasonably priced also, she gave me a great discount, and didn't charge me for the proofs, tax and shipping! I got 150 beautiful invitations for under $600!
Joan also does favors, bridesmaid/groomsmen gifts and wraps beautiful! I am also using her for my menus/programs!
I can't say enough about how easy it was to work with Joan. She is so reliable!!
