I found invitations I love, but have no idea how they will hold up in the mail. Do you think these will require extra postage or will get damaged during transportation in the mail due to the large size of the jewel?
my cousin had a very similar invitation and she had to ship it in a box and the shipping was over $3.

Re: Invitations with bling question
My invitations have some bling on it as well (pics in album), and I am going to send them in an envelope. Postage will be more and I plan on hand cancelling them in order to avoid damage to the invites.
BTW- Your invites are beautiful!!

i think having that piece will def add to the cost of the postage and seeing other mail that I receive, i do think it may get damaged (it may come loose or the envelope may tear).

Re: Invitations with bling question
The seller told me she uses thick envelopes and no other brides who used this jewel had an issue. I am so tempted to just go for it....they're the best invites I've come across yet, and the price is unbeatable.
Do they still allow hand stamping in Long Island or Queens?? I thought I read a post a while back saying they don't do that anymore.

Re: Invitations with bling question
i had an embellishment similar to that on my invites (pic in album) and many people said there envelope had a tiny hole where the crystal was... i recommend putting a piece of tape on the part of the envelope that could potentially rip.
